【Carer Online Discussion Forum】Satir Model and Caregiver Family
7pm-8:30pm
【Carer Online Discussion Forum:Satir Model and Caregiver Family】
"Problem is not the problem, coping is." —Virginia Satir
When caregivers need to provide long-term care for family members, whether it is caring for parents or children, day and night, the relationship between both parties often becomes tense. Communication issues arise, and they may not know how to interact with each other. Sometimes, problems even arise in relationships with other non-cohabiting relatives. Where should caregivers start in addressing family relationship issues?
This online discussion platform will be hosted by a clinical psychologist with a Ph.D., and she is also the supervisor in the Satir model. The forum will cover family therapy perspective of the Satir model to understand the emotional journeys of individuals in caregivers' families, the family relationship issues, and the caregivers' internal needs and resources. The discussion will focus on how consistent communication can help caregivers enhance interactions and relationships with those they care for and other family members (such as siblings).
