7pm-8:30pm
【Carer Online Discussion Forum:Elderly Home Safety and Care】
According to data from the Department of Health, falls are one of the significant causes of illness and death among the elderly. However, the rate of implementing specific safety measures to prevent falls in households with residents aged 65 or above is relatively low. To assist caregivers and the elderly in creating a safe home environment, CARE College has invited a registered occupational therapist to share information on elderly home safety and provide caregiving tips for seniors with cognitive impairments and stroke.

CARE College:Caregiver also need RECOVERY!
3pm - 5pm
【CARE College:Caregiver also need RECOVERY!】
The concept of "recovery" emerged from the "mental health recovery movement," advocating for a fresh perspective on the lives of individuals in recovery that goes beyond symptom control. During recovery process, individuals are not just service users but also participants and planners who collaborate with different individuals.
The concept of "recovery" is not only applicable to the care recipients. This course will explain how caregivers can apply this concept to understand their own needs and engage in care planning. They will also learn how to apply the concept of "recovery" to themselves and the care recipients.
