This course offers comprehensive training on identifying carers' role and practical skills on working with carers, such as establish rapport with carers, understand the needs of carers etc., as well as building relationship with carers under the current service framework.

Time︰2:00pm-5:00pm (3 hours)
Venue︰Chan Tak Sang Memorial Neighbourhood Elderly Centre (Unit A, 1/F, Prosperity Court, 168 Lai Chi Kok Road, Kowloon)
Target Audience :
Frontline Workers providing frontline services to carers (e.g.Social Worker, Counsellor, Nurse, Psychologist)
Tuition fee︰$200 per person

Public always misunderstands psychosis and labels it as a terrible disease. This makes the patients and carers feel pressured.
We have invited the registered social worker and carers of psychosis patients from Resource & Service Centre for the Relatives of Ex-mentally Ill People of Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service to share the symptoms & treatments of psychosis, potential risks of patients and the role of carers. We hope this sharing could help the public to have a better knowledge about psychosis and facilitate the disucssion among carers and the public.
