Carer Promotion Ambassadors training   Carer Promotion Ambassadors training course is a suitable programme for those who are willing to participate in volunteer services and public events.   Course Content:1. Introduce the target, role & responsibility of a Carer Promotion Ambassador 2. Have a better knowledge on social resources  3. Team building 4. How to do community promotion & education    Date：8th, 15th & 22th August, 2022 (every Monday) Time：11am - 4pm(Lunch Hour: 1-2pm) Venue：Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service 2/F (36 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai) Tuition Fee：Free of Charge Quota：15 People   Our staff will confirm your eligibility once you completed your enrollment.   *Participants need to commit at least 6 hours of community promotion volunteer service after complete the course.   *The format of this course may change according to the epidemic situation & latest SWD disease prevention measures.  

“Care Buddies” Training Program is designed for the Carers who are willing to participating in Caring service, by teaching them how to provide support other Carers with using their own personal experience to build up peer support network with other Carers. We also provide caring service sessions after the course has completed, providing opportunities for Carers to support others by exchange caring experience and information on community resources.   Course Date & Time： 1. Tutorial Session Date：2nd, 5th, 16th, 19th 23th & 26th August, 2022 (Every Tuesday & Friday) Time：11:15am - 1:15pm 2. Caring Service Session Will start one month after the programme ends, actual time will be confirmed later.   Remarks：Participants need to attend at least 80% of the Tutorial Session and join the Caring Service Session.   Target Participants：Carers who are willing to participate in Caring Service Venue：Chan Tak Sang Memorial Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, Unit 1C, Prosperity Court, 168 Lai Chi Kok Road, Kowloon* Quota：15 people   Our Staff will confirm your eligibility and understand your caring experience once received your enrollment.   *The tuition method will be affected by the epidemic situation and latest SWD disease prevention measures.

【Carer Online Discussion Forum (July 2022)】Carer’s emotional management & support   Carers face different kinds of caring pressures in their caring works, including financial burden, time management and communication with care recipients. Negative emotions may arise if these pressures are ignored.   Counsellor from Clinical Psychological and Counseling Services of Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service will be our guest speaker for this online discussion forum. She will share methods to manage self-emotion and emotional support for carers with us.
