Carer Online Discussion Forum:Introduction to Caregiver Assessment Tools and the Five Steps of Caregiver Support Services
3pm - 5pm
【Carer Online Discussion Forum:Introduction to Caregiver Assessment Tools and the Five Steps of Caregiver Support Services】
The Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service Elderly Community Support and Nursing Service, in collaboration with the Sau Po Centre on Ageing at the University of Hong Kong, has developed a five-step framework for caregiver support services. They have also created a professional reference guide tailored to the needs of caregivers and the working environment of practitioners.
Additionally, the organization has introduced an evidence-based caregiver assessment tool called "CARER STAR" from the United Kingdom to promote caregivers' focus on and improvement of their self-needs across seven domains throughout their caregiving journey, effectively measuring the changes that occur during the process.
This online discussion platform will provide an overview of the two aforementioned initiatives and welcomes industry professionals and caregivers who are interested to participate.
