Carer Peer Support Instructor Training Course

Carer Peer Support Instructor Training Course is designed for Elderly Carers. This course will teach them how to use their own experience to help public to understand the difficulties of Elderly Carers. We will also provide placement opportunities for the participants.

Course Content：
- Understand the role of Carer Peer Tutor
- Understand the Physical & Psychological Health of the Elderly and their social life
- Skills of leading a group
- how to clarify the needs of Carers to community
- Understanding Life Education
- Crisis handling and management skills
- Skills of communicating with Carers
- How to care your needs

Date & Time：

1. Tutorial Session
Date：24th February and 3rd March, 2022 (Every Thursday)
Time：10am - 5pm

2. Practical Session
Date：4th, 11th & 18th March, 2022 (Every Friday)
Time：1pm - 5pm

3. Carer Peer Tutor Session
Date：18th March to 21st May, 2022
Time：We will arrange based on the activity time

Remarks：Participants need to attend at least 80% of hours in the Course (Including tutorial & practical session), to participate on the Carer Peer Tutor Session
